An Iraqi warplane accidentally bombed the city of Baghdad killing seven people on Monday.

The bomb accidentally fell from an Iraqi Sukhoi warplane in eastern Baghdad, which the officials cited as "technical problems", according to AFP.
"One of the bombs became stuck because of a technical problem, and during its (the aircraft's) return to base it fell on three houses in Baghdad Jadida," security spokesman Brigadier General Saad Maan said in a statement, AFP reported.
All those killed were civilians from two families, a Baghdad-based journalist told IBTimes India.
The journalist said the bomb fell on the houses at 9.30 am local time, and added that 11 others have been injured.
Iraqi forces have been fighting the Islamic State that has seized several parts of the country.
The Sukhoi warplane was returning to base after conducting airstrikes against Isis targets, but one of the bombs failed to drop and ended up falling in Baghdad's residential area, according to Reuters.
Iraqi warplanes are often backed by US-led coalition warplanes in targeting Isis strongholds in the country.
Russia had sent many of the Sukhoi Su-25 jets to Iraq to aid in its fight against Isis, but some of the planes are said to be ageing.
